Offered for sale as a roller *no engine or transmission*. Being a tagged chassis, this car can be run at MSA events to 7.5 seconds. I’ve had a lot of fun with this car running in the Wild Bunch, but due to lack of storage and an upcoming house purchase, it’s time to move it on to someone who can stick a blown motor in! It’s a well-known car and grabs a lot of attention, with not many having this styling. The car is based in Northampton at a storage facility. I’ve got a couple of spares I’ll chuck in with the sale. Comes with a purpose-built trailer and a Powerglide. Currently, I crank it with a spanner but it’s far from ideal! The paintwork is a little tired at the front end of the chassis, mainly from where the tow rope has been. The winch is getting tired and it doesn’t have a handle. Time depending, I can have a new one made before sale - alternatively happy to take it off the asking price. The car does want a couple of bits doing to it. I think if you were a great deal taller you may struggle to fit. The styling is loosely based on Chicken Coupe from the 60s/70s. The body is a fibreglassed chopped topo replica and can run with the body on or off, depending on which you prefer. Fully fab strange 9in, 4.35 gears 33x10.5x15 tyres PB 10.78 124mph Shell V-Power £12,000 but open to negotiation. CDS 162 chassis built by Steve Field (FRESH 7.5 TAG). 3700 stall Built FMX box (ratchet shift). PM me on Facebook or e-mail Daveģ51 Cleveland +60 High lift cam 850 demon carb. The car is located near Canterbury, and obviously, help would be given to the new owner. I don’t want to split the car up, but I may be inclined to let it go less motor, trans and MSD for £6.5k. I believe it’s worth every penny of the reduced price of £16,000 – you won’t go this quick for less money. To be fair, if you’re taller than me, there will need to be some work done to make room, just like I did for Tony Morris back in the eighties. Yes, much of the car is original 1980’s but the important bits are only 10 years old and have not been beaten to death.
BLOWER MOTOR DRAG RACING PRO
Great for Super Pro or Wild Bunch, but could also run in Super Comp. Always been consistent, and has run a best of 8.36.

Both zoomie and roadster headers come with the car. ‘Glide transmission with JW Ultrabell, upgraded using JW transmission components. I want to keep the Crower stacks that were on it at Dragstalgia, so have replaced them with a Big & Ugly injector – the car is ready to run. I doubt the motor has had more than 25 passes on it since being assembled.

The refurbished heads have only been on the car for four passes. Big Block Chevy 468ci, angle milled Dart Pro1 heads, Eagle crank, Carillo rods, Ross pistons, Isky cam. Ford 9” rear end with a nodular third member, Strange axles, and 4.11:1 gears. Seat belts are out of date, but OK for nostalgia and lifestyle RWYB type events.
BLOWER MOTOR DRAG RACING UPGRADE
The 120” wheelbase (duplicate of the original) chrome-moly frame carries a (expired) six-second SFI 10.2 tag (with an upgrade to the motor plate it could have an AFC 10.1E tag). Originally built by me in 1981, I re-purchased it thirteen years ago and put it through an extensive recreation/restoration process completed in 2011. In spite of some serious interest, the iconic Rough Diamond competition altered remains for sale.
